Boys Soccer Program Racks Up Wins off the Field!

posted Dec 4, 2017, 6:12 AM by Rebekah Routos

The boys soccer team may have had a 9-7 record, seeded 10th in the state and a first round tournament loss, but the season was chalked up to a win in our books! Ken Fuller was named Division II Boys Soccer Coach of the Year due to his leadership on and off of the soccer field. In addition, the program was selected to receive the Matt Slater Special Team Award for their outstanding community service contributions.  The committee usually picks just one player for this award, but since this was an entire program effort, the entire team was selected. Projects that they completed included packing food boxes for families in need in the Concord area, wheelchair basketball tournament which raises money for adults with disabilities, and set up/clean up for a camp that works with at risk boys.  For these efforts, the team was awarded a $1,000 prize funded by Kiss 108. We are so very proud of Coach Fuller and our boys soccer team!
