As the fall season kicked into full swing, Twiggs Gallery in Boscawen helped the local community to get into the spirit: with a fun family activity. On October 1st, the event, organized by Monica Cote of Merrimack Valley High School, allowed families to spend some time relaxing and being creative. Activity options included making a custom scarecrow using clothes brought in or clothes made available by donation, face painting, or pumpkin painting. Even better, it provided something much needed; it provided funding for the MVHS chapter of the National Art Honor Society. Kaisi Adams, a junior at MV, was one of the students volunteering for the day.

“It was really just a great few hours for people to come and have fun and raise money for something they care about, you know? Seeing the kids being able to be creative and have some fun really made it great,” Adams said of the event. “I helped out with face painting, and it was just good to see the community like that.”
